Target Just Upped Its Dress Up Game With Inclusive Costumes for Every Kind of Kid

Reason No. 723 why we love Target.

Playing dress up should be a low lift activity for parents that guarantees endless hours of fun for kids. But if your little one has a sensory issue or uses a wheelchair to get around, finding a costume that they can (and want) to wear can be a challenge. Luckily, Target has swooped in to take some of that stress away. The retailer just revealed new looks from its Hyde and Eek! Boutique, which features an exciting new line of adaptive costumes that are designed with kids’ uniqueness in mind.

Currently, the collection features four inclusive costumes with accompanying accessories. Two of the options gives kids who use wheelchairs the chance to deck themselves out from top to bottom.

Adaptive Pirate Costume

The Pirate Halloween Costume will encourage kids to conquer the seven seas with a set that features a vest, pants, eye patch and hat. The outfit includes openings in the back to make it easy to take on and off. Plus, the leg openings in the pants are wide enough to slip on and off even while wearing shoes. Add the finishing touch with the pirate ship wheelchair cover . It easily attaches to the wheelchair using hook-and-loop closures for a secure fit

Adative Princess Costume

The trendy attire is thoughtfully designed with openings in the back to make it easy to get on and off. The material shimmers and shines to ensure your little one is the star of the show, and the included tiara helps add the finishing touch. Make the moment even more magical by transforming their wheelchair into a royal carriage. The carriage wheelchair cover will do the trick, with intricate details for an authentic look and hook-and-loop closures for easy attachment.
