What to pay attention to when taking a bath for baby eczema

For many novice mothers, bathing their babies is a very troublesome thing. Babies are relatively small and their joints are tender. If they have too much strength, they will be injured, especially when bathing babies with eczema, which is even more difficult. So what should we pay attention to when bathing babies with eczema?

What to pay attention to when taking a bath for baby eczema1

  1. Water temperature: Do not exceed 37 ℃, as overheating can worsen eczema.

  2. Bath equipment: Do not use weakly acidic shampoo or shower gel for babies, do not scratch their skin, and do not use a scrubbing cloth to scrub.

  3. Bath time: For babies around one year old, a bath time of about 10 minutes is sufficient, and for those over three years old, it can be about 15 minutes. The bath time should not exceed half an hour.

  4. Bathing method: It is best to use only water to wash your baby. If you use shower gel, it is best to apply it on your baby's body after the palm bubbles. Avoid the eczema area, and clean the foam.

  5. Drying method: Soak the towel in water and wring it dry before wiping the baby's body. When wiping the body, do not apply too much force, and press the eczema area to absorb moisture.

  6. Pay attention to moisturizing: After taking a shower, if your baby's body is too dry, you can apply some moisturizing products that your baby uses.

Caution: Do not wait until your baby is ready to sleep before taking a bath. Taking a bath at this time can promote blood circulation, and eczema on your baby's body can worsen itching and affect their sleep.
