Complementary foods are essential for babies to consume after reaching a certain age, and mothers also need to master the eating habits of complementary foods, from thin to thick, from simple to complex, in order to ensure that babies' diet and digestive system can gradually adapt and absorb complementary foods. So, how should complementary foods be arranged?
1. According to age. Babies of different ages eat complementary foods at different times each day, so the timing of feeding may also vary. Young babies mostly add some complementary foods in the afternoon near dinner, but as they grow older, there may be a time for complementary foods between two meals of milk in the morning and two meals of milk in the afternoon every day.
2. According to the type of complementary food. There are many types of complementary foods for babies because their digestive ability is limited. If there are too many difficult to digest complementary foods in one meal, it is advisable to add more easily digestible types in the next complementary food, or postpone or reduce the next complementary food to protect the baby's digestive function and prevent them from experiencing difficult to digest conditions.
3. According to the baby's response to complementary foods. After feeding complementary foods, babies have different levels of acceptance and adaptation to different types of complementary foods. Therefore, based on their habits towards complementary foods, the arrangement of complementary foods is determined comprehensively according to the amount of milk they consume. If they consume a large amount of milk, the amount of complementary foods will be reduced. If they consume a small amount of milk, the amount of complementary foods can be increased appropriately.
