Nowadays, many women are prone to gynecological problems. Menstruation is very important for women, but there are also some women who have abnormal and irregular menstruation, and may experience dysmenorrhea. So why do they often feel dysmenorrhea?

There are two types of dysmenorrhea. The first is primary dysmenorrhea, which is caused by the production of large amounts of prostaglandins during the shedding of the endometrium. Prostaglandins cause smooth muscle contractions in the uterus, leading to lower abdominal pain. The second is secondary dysmenorrhea, uterine malformation, such as the presence of uterine septum, which can lead to uncoordinated uterine contractions during menstruation and lower abdominal pain.
The occurrence of dysmenorrhea indicates that the circulation of qi and blood in women's bodies is not smooth, and there is a manifestation of dampness and coldness, which leads to poor blood circulation and sometimes the appearance of blood clots. Improper dietary habits can also cause dysmenorrhea, such as consuming raw, cold, and stimulating foods during menstruation, which can impede menstrual flow and lead to dysmenorrhea.
It is recommended that women apply more hot compress to the abdomen and eat foods that nourish qi and blood in their daily lives. This will restore normal blood circulation and gradually alleviate menstrual pain. Do not eat raw or cold foods in your diet. If menstrual pain persists and cannot be relieved, you need to go to the hospital for this examination.
