Why are there anterior and posterior walls of the uterus

If a woman wants to conceive, the egg must be mature and healthy. After the egg is fertilized, it must successfully implant before the woman can be considered pregnant. If there are problems in the intermediate stage, it can lead to pregnancy failure. After pregnancy, there may be conditions in the anterior or posterior wall of the uterus. So, why are there anterior and posterior walls of the uterus?

Why are there anterior and posterior walls of the uterus1

If the fertilized egg implants on the anterior wall of the uterus, it is called the anterior wall of the uterus during prenatal examination, while if it implants on the posterior wall, it belongs to the posterior wall of the uterus. After the fertilized egg enters the female uterus, the implantation position is random, so there may be situations where the anterior and posterior walls of the uterus are present, while the position of the placenta may be on the anterior or posterior wall of the uterus.

If a pregnant woman belongs to the posterior wall of the uterus, it will be relatively safer. If it is the anterior wall of the uterus, the placenta will be closer to the cervix, so the chances of miscarriage and premature birth are higher. If the fertilized egg implants on the posterior wall of the uterus, the placenta will be located on the posterior wall, which is further away from the cervix, so the likelihood of miscarriage or premature birth is lower.

After a woman becomes pregnant, both the anterior and posterior walls of the uterus are considered normal, so there is no need to worry too much. Pregnant women should take good care of themselves and go to the hospital for regular check ups. If any abnormal conditions are found during the examination, timely measures should be taken to avoid endangering the health of pregnant women and fetuses.
