Pregnant women are very concerned about the development process of the fetus. In the early stages of pregnancy, only when the gestational sac grows and develops in the uterus, and fetal heart and embryo also appear, can pregnant women continue to conceive with peace of mind. As the fetus gradually develops, the pelvic cavity will enter the abdominal cavity, and there will still be changes afterwards. So, when will the fetus enter the abdominal cavity?
The fetus enters the abdominal cavity at around three months old. Many pregnant women cannot feel the uterine floor in the abdomen during the first three months. Although the fetal heartbeat cannot be heard through the abdomen, the development of the fetus can be seen through ultrasound examination. After three months, as the uterus gradually enlarges and the fetus enters the abdominal cavity, the pregnant woman can feel the bottom of the uterus.
As time goes by, around five months of pregnancy, the baby's fetal heartbeat can be heard and the position of the fetus can also be determined. At this point, the abdomen may also have bulged, and some pregnant women may experience more pronounced swelling.
After reaching the late stage of pregnancy, the pregnant woman's abdomen may appear smaller due to the fact that the fetus has entered the womb, indicating that the pregnant woman is approaching delivery again. Around 36 weeks, many fetuses have already entered the womb, and pregnant women may feel a tightness in the abdomen, accompanied by mild labor pains. This is a normal phenomenon. If there is any abnormal discomfort in the body, it is best to seek medical examination as soon as possible to avoid adverse effects on the fetus.
