What's wrong with pregnant women and children moving vigorously

During pregnancy, expectant mothers gradually feel fetal movement as they enter the mid to late stages of pregnancy, which is called fetal movement. However, some expectant mothers may also have concerns when they find that their baby is too active. So, what is the reason for pregnant women and children moving vigorously?

What's wrong with pregnant women and children moving vigorously1

  1. During mid pregnancy, women will gradually feel fetal movement, and due to the larger range of fetal movement in the uterine cavity, some fetuses may experience relatively frequent fetal movements. However, there will not be a sudden increase in fetal movement. If there is a lot of fetal movement but it is regular, it is generally considered normal due to individual differences between the mother and fetus.

  2. In late pregnancy, the fetal position is relatively fixed, and the range of fetal movement in the uterine cavity may also decrease. Therefore, compared to mid pregnancy, the frequency of fetal movement may be lower. If sudden fetal movement is severe, it should be considered as fetal intrauterine hypoxia, and severe hypoxia can cause subsequent reduction in fetal movement. We must be highly vigilant about this situation and immediately go to the hospital for examination.

  3. If fetal intrauterine distress and hypoxia are diagnosed through examination, timely treatment should be carried out according to medical advice, such as oxygen therapy. If necessary, hospitalization observation should be carried out. Some pregnant women may also be unable to provide sufficient blood oxygen supply to the fetus due to anemia, which can cause severe fetal movement. Treatment for this condition also requires blood and iron supplementation.
