Cervical erosion is a gynecological disease, and it is also a disease that most married women suffer from, either lightly or severely. Cervical erosion can be classified into three types based on pathological severity, namely mild, moderate, and severe. And the distinction between these three types can be used to determine the severity of the condition based on vaginal discharge as a female secretion. So, what does cervical erosion and vaginal discharge look like?

When cervical erosion is mild or moderate, it usually manifests as increased vaginal discharge, yellowish color, sticky discharge, or a small amount of blood streaks mixed in the discharge. The spread of inflammation may cause itching in the external genitalia, bleeding during sexual intercourse, pain, etc. Severe cervical erosion usually has a large infected area of inflammation, and the vaginal discharge will be pus like, very viscous, with a relatively large amount of discharge, or there may be bloody discharge.
Cervical disease is the most easily overlooked disease among female friends because the cervix does not have a direct sensory nerve for pain. Even if inflammation or erosion has occurred, female patients will not experience pain or discomfort symptoms, and can only detect the condition through vaginal discharge or gynecological examinations. Therefore, annual gynecological routine check ups are very important.
If a woman in the preconception period experiences mild to moderate cervical erosion and the discomfort symptoms are not obvious, she can prepare for conception and generally does not require treatment. However, severe erosion needs to be removed and treated in a regular hospital before conception can be achieved after recovery of health.
