What causes placenta previa

Babies are very important in the family. From the moment she was in her belly, the mother was very careful to take care of her. During pregnancy, she had to do some relevant examinations to ensure that the baby could grow up healthy and happy. However, placenta previa may occur during pregnancy. So, what causes placenta previa?

What causes placenta previa1

There are many reasons that can cause placenta previa. Generally speaking, this phenomenon is closely related to multiple miscarriages, curettage, elderly primiparous women, postpartum infections, smoking, and other unhealthy lifestyle habits. It may also be caused by endometrial lesions or damage in women. This phenomenon is also quite common now.

Secondly, it may be due to abnormalities in the placenta, which refers to changes in the size and shape of the placenta, leading to the phenomenon of placenta previa. If the placental area is too large and extends to the lower part of the uterus, it feels like a phenomenon of placenta previa, then the probability of twins is higher than that of singletons.

In addition, the development of the trophoblast layer in fertilized eggs is slow. If the fertilized egg reaches the uterine cavity and the trophoblast layer has not yet developed to the implantation stage, it will continue to move downwards and implant at the lower end of the uterus, then develop into placenta previa. Pregnant women with placenta previa should pay more attention to rest, avoid excessive fatigue, and promptly go to the hospital for relevant examinations to ensure the health of both the pregnant woman and the baby.
