What causes ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is a type of abnormal pregnancy and a very dangerous disease in gynecology. In recent years, the incidence of ectopic pregnancy has shown an increasing trend, becoming the number one killer of women's pregnancy. So many expectant mothers become anxious as soon as they become pregnant, worrying that a slight abdominal pain may indicate an ectopic pregnancy. So what is the cause of ectopic pregnancy?

What causes ectopic pregnancy1

Repeated abortion: With the continuous change of traditional concepts, premarital sex has become increasingly common, and repeated abortion can easily lead to ectopic pregnancy. The current incidence of ectopic pregnancy has increased by 5-6 times compared to the 1980s. The more abortions there are, the higher the chance of ectopic pregnancy. Therefore, regardless of whether they have children or not, women should take good contraceptive measures to prevent the attack of ectopic pregnancy.

Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease: Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, especially salpingitis, is another important factor in the onset of ectopic pregnancy. Women must not ignore this common gynecological disease. Because salpingitis can narrow the lumen of the fallopian tube, it is difficult for fertilized eggs to enter the uterine cavity, so they have to "camp" in the fallopian tube or ovary.

IUD insertion: According to medical textbooks, about 3% of women who have an IUD inserted will still become pregnant. Therefore, even if an IUD is inserted and abdominal pain occurs, ectopic pregnancy should be considered. As for the manifestation of diarrhea, it is due to intra-abdominal bleeding stimulating the intestines, causing accelerated intestinal peristalsis and resulting in diarrhea.
