What are the safe methods of contraception1

There are three main methods of contraceptive safety:

  1. Safe period contraception method. During the 5 days before ovulation and 4 days after ovulation, it is easy for men and women to conceive through sexual intercourse. This period is also known as the danger period. However, if sexual intercourse is performed outside of this danger period, the chances of conception will be greatly reduced, thus achieving avoidance of pregnancy.

  2. Condom contraception method. Condoms are mainly used by men. When men use condoms for sexual intercourse, the probability of contraception can reach over 95%, and it can also prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and HIV.

  3. Oral contraceptives. Generally, medication is taken on the 5th day of a woman's menstrual cycle, with a cycle of 21 consecutive days. This contraceptive pill is considered a neutral medication and has no other side effects on the body. It is also an effective method of contraception.

  4. Intrauterine device. This contraceptive method is mostly used for postpartum women and is currently the most commonly used and safe contraceptive method. However, women with gynecological inflammation or irregular menstruation do not use this method.
