Uterine fibroids are mostly benign and only require timely surgical removal for treatment, which can lead to complete recovery. But with the development of medical technology, uterine fibroid resection has gradually been replaced by uterine fibroid embolization. But the harm of uterine fibroid embolization is also obvious. So what are the hazards of uterine fibroid embolization?

1. Pain. Uterine fibroid embolization is the process of completely cutting off the blood vessels supplying uterine fibroids, thereby cutting off the nutritional supply to the fibroids and causing them to gradually shrink and disappear. But after uterine fibroid embolization, the blood vessels are cut off, causing ischemic pain that lasts for about three days and requires timely pain relief.
2. Fever. After the implementation of uterine fibroid embolization, the blood vessels of the uterine fibroid are cut off, and the nutritional supply is no longer available. Therefore, the uterine fibroid often undergoes necrosis and atrophy, making it easy for the body to have a fever. Therefore, timely measures to reduce fever, preferably physical cooling, need to be taken.
3. Lower limb soreness and weakness. After the implementation of uterine fibroid embolization, the blood vessels of the fibroids in the uterus are cut off, which may cause soreness and weakness in the lower limbs, but this situation will disappear automatically within 20 days.
4. Irregular vaginal bleeding. After the implementation of uterine fibroid embolization, the fibroids in the uterus may become necrotic and irregular bleeding may occur. This is a normal phenomenon and there is no need to be nervous.
5. Amenorrhea. Amenorrhea is rare after uterine fibroid embolization, but it may also occur.
