Due to the different types of twins, there are also differences in the reasons for the cessation of a single twin.

If the twins share the same placenta, it is difficult to determine the cause of sudden fetal arrest in the first child. It is possible that there is a problem with the chromosomes of this baby; It is also possible that the developmental structure of this fetus is abnormal; It is also possible that two babies share the same placenta, and the blood sample from the placenta cannot meet the needs of both babies at the same time. Unequal distribution may lead to some abnormalities in one of the fetuses; Also, due to the phenomenon of blood vessel communication between twins, twin fetuses sharing the same placenta are more prone to some unique complications, and one of them may be caused by these complications if the fetus stops conceiving.

But if the twin babies are twins with double chorionic villi, they will not affect each other, and the one who stops having children may have chromosomal problems, reproductive immune problems, or the mother's uterus problems.

If a fetus is found to have stopped conceiving, the blood perfusion pressure may affect the surviving fetus, and the blood of the surviving fetus is likely to flow to the deceased fetus. This can lead to low blood pressure in the live fetus, causing serious damage to various systems of the body due to ischemia, and even causing fetal arrest in another fetus.

So when one of the twins stops giving birth, the mother must seek professional medical help as soon as possible to handle it as soon as possible.
