Reasons for follicular dysplasia

A wisp of fragrance, the beauty of blooming flowers with fate, women's health emits brilliant colors, but some women suffer from infertility due to poor follicular development. The vast majority of women begin to learn about follicles when their secondary sexual characteristics are fully developed. After experiencing their first menstrual period or entering into marital life, most women have a lot of knowledge about follicles. So, what are the reasons for poor follicular development?

Reasons for follicular dysplasia1

The prerequisite for conceiving a baby is the combination of sperm and fertilized egg. Follicles refer to the ovarian cortex composed of an oocyte and many small follicular cells around it. In the late stage of follicular development, the growth of follicles cannot reach the size of mature follicles, and their function is poor, with insufficient secretion of estrogen. The clinical examination cervical score cannot reach the expected high value (10 points), which can be used to determine follicular dysplasia.

There are many reasons for poor follicular development, mainly including the following three points:

  1. Pituitary anovulation: Organic and functional factors.

  2. Ovarian anovulation: Polycystic ovary syndrome, simple gonadal dysgenesis syndrome, gonadal dysgenesis syndrome, premature ovarian failure, luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome.

  3. Hypothalamic anovulation: primary organic factors, primary functional factors, secondary organic lesions, secondary functional factors.

The occurrence of infertility in women can affect the life between couples and, in the long run, lead to family breakdown. Follicular dysplasia has a significant impact on a woman's normal ovulation or the quality of eggs released, thereby affecting normal conception. Even if conception is successful, pregnant women are prone to miscarriage, stillbirth, and other conditions. Therefore, women with follicular dysplasia should pay attention to this issue and seek timely examination and treatment at regular hospitals.

Follicular dysplasia is not an incurable disease. If women discover related diseases, they should be reminded to maintain a good attitude during the treatment process. To avoid infertility, timely detection, examination, and treatment are the key. Early recovery of follicle health is an important step in conceiving a baby.
