The quality of sperm directly affects the fertility status. If the quality of sperm is poor, even with a slim chance of conceiving a baby, it is easy to have a miscarriage or give birth to an unhealthy baby during pregnancy. So you should cooperate with your wife to prepare for pregnancy, and pay attention to these points during the preparation period:
1、 Supplementing nutrition
The production of sperm depends on the nutrients in the male host's body, with the most obvious demands for zinc, selenium, and protein. In daily diet, you need to subconsciously increase the intake of these nutrients and eat more nutritious foods such as seafood, lean meat, fish, etc.
2、 Quit smoking and drinking
Smoking and alcohol are the number one killers of sperm. Frequent smoking can lead to abnormal sperm, with double heads and tails, and low motility; Alcohol also has a toxic effect on sperm, and after drinking alcohol, the sperm will feel like alcohol poisoning, confused and unable to distinguish direction. So don't think that having too many sperm means being stubborn! When you and your wife plan to have a baby, it's best to quit smoking and drinking for at least six months.
3、 Stay away from high temperatures
The optimal working temperature for testicles is around 35 ℃. If the testicles are in a sustained high temperature state for a long time, it will affect the formation of sperm. From now on, you should stay away from continuous high temperature environments, wear fewer jeans, ride fewer bicycles, take fewer hot baths, and avoid sauna
4、 Develop good lifestyle habits
Exercise can promote sperm metabolism, enhance physical fitness, and improve immunity. As someone who used to love exercise, you now have more reason to invite your wife to participate in outdoor activities together; In addition, you should pay attention to personal hygiene, change clothes frequently, take a shower, and wash your hands; Eat less spicy foods such as chili and pepper, control the intake of sugar, and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables; Maintain a regular lifestyle and schedule accordingly.
