Is the ten days of menstruation the ovulation period

Ovulation and menstruation are normal physiological cycles for a woman, and they share a certain regularity. Therefore, many women who plan to conceive often use self testing to determine the timing of ovulation. Is the ten days of menstruation the ovulation period?

Is the ten days of menstruation the ovulation period1

Under normal circumstances, the ten days of menstruation are not the ovulation period. Generally, the 14th day before the next menstrual period is the ovulation day, which is the midpoint between two menstrual periods. The ovulation period is between the first five days and the last four days of the ovulation day, which is about ten days.

The time after menstruation cannot be used to calculate ovulation period. The accuracy of calculating ovulation period should be based on the time before the next menstrual period. However, there is no absolute ovulation period, and it still varies from person to person. This calculation method is only used as a reference when the menstrual cycle is normal.

If a woman with a longer menstrual cycle, such as a 35 day cycle, ovulates on the 21st day before the next menstrual period, ovulation may often be delayed, and the safe period cannot be determined.

If a woman has a short menstrual cycle, such as a period of 21 days, the 7th day before the next menstrual cycle should be the ovulation day. There is no such thing as a safe period because the period is relatively short, and the reserved period before ovulation is also relatively short. Therefore, the probability of pregnancy is usually difficult to judge, and there may be a risk of pregnancy even after the end of the menstrual cycle.
