During pregnancy, counting fetal movements should be a very happy thing for mothers, but the gender of the baby also makes mothers very curious. As the saying goes, 'male left, female right' refers to the position of the gestational sac in the mother's belly, but these have no medical basis. So, is the gestational sac on the left a boy?
As early as when a mother is pregnant with a baby, that is, during the embryonic stage, the gender of the child is already predetermined. However, the baby's reproductive organs will not fully develop until around four months old, and the baby's gender can only be observed through ultrasound. The condition of each mother's uterus is different. When pregnant, there may be a situation where the belly is on the left or right side, but it is unscientific to say it is a boy based on the gestational sac on the left side. Therefore, the gestational sac on the left may not necessarily be a boy.
The gestational sac is the initial form of the baby, and its size can only be initially measured through ultrasound. Based on the results of ultrasound, it can be used to estimate gestational age and track the actual development of the child at this stage. If there is a possibility of malformation in the child, measures can be taken immediately. However, the gestational sac may have different sizes and positions due to the physiological characteristics of the pregnant woman. Judging the gender of the baby based on the shape of the gestational sac is unscientific.
The position of the gestational sac may appear in a relatively random location within the uterus, and it cannot be determined for males or females based on the position of the gestational sac. As long as the shape of the gestational sac is normal and the ultrasound examination is clear, then the development is relatively normal.
