Is menstruation during ovulation or follicular phase

Menstruation is a good friend of women and also a beacon of women's physical health. If a woman's body has problems or illnesses, the menstrual cycle will become unstable and the amount of menstrual flow will also change. Many women are not very familiar with menstruation. So, is menstruation the ovulation period or the follicular period?

Is menstruation during ovulation or follicular phase1

Menstruation is neither ovulation nor follicular period, it can be said to be a separate period. The menstrual cycle can be roughly divided into luteal phase, follicular phase, ovulation phase, and menstrual phase. When the corpus luteum in the female body secretes sufficiently, follicles begin to develop. After the follicles mature, if a fertilized egg is not formed, menstruation occurs.

Women with normal corpus luteum function and good physical health will have their menstrual period on time every month. If their period is delayed or not coming, they need to consider the possibility of pregnancy. The typical menstrual cycle is around 28 days, with ovulation occurring around 14 days before menstruation and menstruation lasting around 7 days.

In general, menstruation is not the ovulation period nor the follicular period, but an independent period. Women must pay attention to rest more during menstruation, maintain a healthy diet, avoid greasy and spicy foods, and avoid fried foods. During menstruation, be careful not to touch cold water, avoid eating frozen food, and rest more.
