Pregnant women need to undergo regular prenatal check ups during pregnancy, and there are many items that need to be checked. Different stages of pregnancy require different prenatal check ups. Four dimensional color ultrasound is one of the examination items during pregnancy, and it is also a relatively advanced color ultrasound equipment that can provide a clearer and more accurate understanding of the growth and development of the fetus. However, what about four-dimensional color ultrasound for pregnant women?

Pregnant women need to undergo four-dimensional ultrasound to examine the fetal head, mainly to see if the contour of the fetal head is complete. If there are defects or deformations, it is an abnormal manifestation. Generally, if the midline of the brain is not displaced and there is no hydrocephalus, it is considered normal. The biparietal diameter of the fetal head is an indicator of fetal maturity, with an average weekly increase of 0.22 centimeters after approximately 26 weeks of pregnancy.
Furthermore, four-dimensional ultrasound also needs to examine the fetal heart rate, which is generally considered normal if it is strong. If the fetal heart rate is weak, it may be caused by two reasons, such as the fetus being asleep or abnormal conditions. Under normal circumstances, the fetal heart rate is 120-160 beats per minute.
Four dimensional ultrasound also needs to examine the placenta, which has a normal thickness of 25-50 millimeters. Generally, the maturity of the placenta can be divided into four levels: 0, I, II, and III. In early pregnancy, the placenta often presents as grade 0, which is the growth stage of the placenta. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, as the placenta matures, it will develop from grade I to grade III.
