Nowadays, women who become pregnant will promptly follow the doctor's requirements to undergo pregnancy tests, and of course, pregnancy tests cannot be done without ultrasound. Many pregnant women go for color ultrasound to see their babies better. But many people cannot understand the results of prenatal and ultrasound examinations. So how to understand prenatal ultrasound?
1. Fetal head. A complete fetal head indicates that the fetus is normal, and there is no displacement of the midline of the fetal head, indicating that the fetus is developing normally and there are no issues such as hydrocephalus.
2. Twin apex diameter of fetal head. This is a landmark indicator of fetal maturity. Generally speaking, the biparietal diameter increases by 0.2cm per week from 26-36 weeks, and by 0.1cm per week after 36 weeks. At the same time, the size of the biparietal diameter can also predict fetal weight. Therefore, if you are a pregnant woman, it is best to pay attention to this indicator.
3. Fetal heart rate. The normal fetal heart rate is between 120-160. If the fetal heart rate is weak, it may be that the baby is sleeping or there may be some kind of problem, which needs to be judged by a doctor. If the doctor judges that there is a problem, further examination is needed in a timely manner. If the fetal heart rate is strong and strong, it means that the baby's condition is normal.
4. Placenta. The placenta can be divided into stages 0-4 based on maturity, with stage 0 in early pregnancy and stage 3 in late pregnancy. The higher the maturity, the higher the number. Generally speaking, an aging placenta is not conducive to the baby's absorption of nutrients and must be monitored in a timely manner.
5. Amniotic fluid. Amniotic fluid should be kept at a depth of 3-7 centimeters, and too much or too little is not conducive to the growth and development of the fetus.
6. Umbilical cord. The umbilical cord will float in the amniotic fluid, and it often wraps around the neck. However, there is no need to be nervous about wrapping around the neck in the morning. You can also wrap it back on your own. If the umbilical cord wraps around the neck, be sure to pay special attention to monitoring the baby's fetal movement.
