For most expectant mothers, they will choose vaginal delivery as it is beneficial for both adults and babies. But in life, not everything can go as people wish. Many pregnant mothers have difficulty giving birth due to improper fetal position. So, how to correct fetal position to allow mothers to give birth naturally?

For pregnant women who have an incorrect fetal position and want to give birth naturally, there are two ways to correct the fetal position:
1、 Knee chest position
The pregnant mother is kneeling on the bed, with her hands pressed against the bed surface, legs spread apart and shoulder width apart. Try to position your chest and shoulders as close to the bed surface as possible, with your face facing to one side. Bend both knees and keep the thighs perpendicular to the ground. Maintain this position for about two minutes, doing it two to three times a day, gradually increasing the time to 5-10 minutes after adaptation.
However, it should be noted that this method is only suitable for mothers who are 30-34 weeks pregnant, because if the fetal position is not correct before seven months of pregnancy, there is no need to deliberately correct it, and observation is the main focus. The main reason is that the fetus seven months ago was not yet large, and the amniotic fluid in the uterus was relatively sufficient, so the fetus had ample space for movement and the fetal position could be corrected on its own.
2、 External reversal
This action must be performed by a doctor again. Pregnant mothers should not do this action without authorization to avoid fetal umbilical cord entanglement or placental abruption. The method is to touch the head and buttocks of the fetus on the abdominal wall with your hand, then push the buttocks upwards, slowly shift the position of the fetal head into the pelvic cavity, and finally wrap the abdomen with cloth to maintain the correct fetal position. But if the fetus's buttocks have already entered the pelvis, it is difficult to change the fetal position, so do not force yourself to correct the fetal position at this time.
Before performing any action, it is necessary to empty the urine and loosen the belt. It is best to consult a doctor before correcting to avoid unnecessary consequences.
