After a couple experiences infertility issues, both men and women should undergo examinations. The examination for male infertility is relatively simple, usually examining the male reproductive system to see if there are any male diseases, such as orchitis, spermatic cord inflammation, etc. Doctors also conduct laboratory tests on male semen to determine the quality of semen and sperm.

When conducting infertility tests, the examination for women is more complex and there are more examination items. Women will first undergo a comprehensive examination of their entire body and reproductive system, including the vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. There are many reproductive system diseases that can cause female infertility, such as salpingitis, cervicitis, polycystic ovary syndrome, and so on.

Women should also undergo an examination of the endometrium to determine its function, ovulation status, and corpus luteum function. In addition, women also need to undergo a cranial X-ray examination to determine if there are any abnormalities in the pituitary gland, whether there are tumors or other brain diseases.
