Women who suspect that they have intrauterine adhesions can go to the hospital for a preliminary screening of intrauterine adhesions. This is a method of injecting iodine solution into the uterine cavity through the position of the female cervix. When the uterine cavity is filled with iodine solution, the condition of the uterine cavity can be observed under X-ray fluoroscopy to see if there are adhesion problems. However, although uterine adhesions are detected by hysteroscopy, it cannot show endometrial fibrosis and sparse adhesion bands.

If women want to diagnose intrauterine adhesions more accurately, they can do vaginal ultrasound examination, which is an effective method for diagnosing intrauterine adhesions. Doctors will place ultrasound probes into the vagina or rectum to clearly see the situation of the cervix, uterus, pelvic cavity and other parts of the female body, thus determining the location and degree of intrauterine adhesions, as well as the thickness of the endometrium. This is a non-invasive examination that will not affect the female body.

In addition, women can also undergo uterine cavity acoustic contrast examination, which is a method of examination that requires the cooperation of vaginal ultrasound. By injecting 20 to 30 milliliters of physiological saline into the uterine cavity and using vaginal ultrasound to observe the situation inside the cavity, the presence, degree, and location of intrauterine adhesions can be determined with higher accuracy than simple vaginal ultrasound. Once intrauterine adhesions are detected, surgical treatment can be performed under hysteroscopy.
