In today's society, there are more and more couples suffering from infertility, and the reasons for infertility are also diverse. Anti sperm antibodies are one of them. Anti sperm antibodies can cause infertility in both males and females.
Female patients with positive anti sperm antibodies often have reproductive system inflammations such as endometritis, vaginitis, and salpingitis before the onset of the disease, especially in patients with blocked fallopian tubes and infertility. Generally, these patients may experience sexual activity during menstruation, postpartum lochia, and abnormal vaginal bleeding. This is because in such a state, male sperm and semen can easily come into contact with female blood, which in turn stimulates the female immune system to produce antibodies. The production of anti sperm antibodies in males is generally caused by diseases, such as inflammation of the vas deferens or other reasons leading to obstruction of the vas deferens, causing sperm leakage and triggering contact between sperm antigens and the immune system of the body, leading to the appearance of anti sperm antibodies.
There are generally two methods for testing anti sperm antibodies: the mixed anti globulin reaction test (MAR test) and the immune bead test (IBT test). Different inspections require different fees in different places.
