How many weeks of fetal movement

During pregnancy, expectant mothers often feel their stomachs beating, thinking that the baby is kicking around inside. And in this case, it's fetal movement. Fetal movement during pregnancy indicates normal fetal development. However, the frequency, speed, and timing of fetal movements are also related to the safety of the fetus. How many weeks does fetal movement last?

How many weeks of fetal movement1

Fetal movement usually occurs around 18 to 20 weeks of pregnancy, but it varies from person to person. Some people may experience it earlier, while others may experience it later. For example, obese pregnant women may experience it later. Moreover, the frequency and intensity of fetal movements are regular, and expectant mothers should promptly go to the hospital for examination when discovering fetal abnormalities.

Fetal movement refers to the movement of the fetus in the uterine cavity, such as kicking or stretching the arms, which can collide with the uterine wall, causing the expectant mother to feel her stomach moving.

Normal fetal movements should be no less than 3-5 times within 1 hour and around 30-40 times within 12 hours. If the number of fetal movements is less than 20 within 12 hours, it is an abnormal situation. If it is less than 10 times, it indicates that the fetus is in danger and may be experiencing hypoxia. As long as the fetal movement is regular, rhythmic, and not significantly changing, it indicates that the fetus is developing normally. Fetal movement is the active period of the fetus between 28 and 38 weeks of pregnancy. As the fetus grows, fetal movement gradually decreases until delivery.
