How many weeks is the fetus born, not premature1

In medicine, babies born at less than 37 weeks are considered premature infants, so babies born at 36 weeks are also considered premature infants. Due to premature birth, more attentive care is needed after birth. A live born fetus born before the 37th week of pregnancy is called a premature or immature baby. Due to immature tissue development, incomplete function, poor survival ability, and poor resistance, special care must be given in terms of feeding, warmth preservation, and disease prevention.

Most premature infants have a birth weight of less than 2500 grams and a head circumference of less than 33cm. Premature infants with poorer organ function and adaptability compared to full-term infants should be given special care. There are many reasons for premature birth in 36 week old infants, such as poor maternal health, poor placental function, cervical atresia, congenital infections or deformities, etc.

Premature infants have different complications due to their maturity. The closer the gestational age is to full-term, such as 35-36 weeks, there are almost no complications, and the care is no different from that of full-term fetuses. But the gestational weeks of premature infants are only 28-29 weeks, and the problem may be more serious, indicating that the care of premature infants must be done well.
