How can placental implantation be diagnosed1

If there is suspicion of placental implantation during pregnancy, a diagnosis should be made so that appropriate preparations can be made before surgery for placental implantation. The diagnosis of placental implantation mainly includes B-ultrasound examination and magnetic resonance imaging examination.

Firstly, B-ultrasound examination is the most commonly used method for diagnosing placental implantation, which can diagnose more than 80% of cases. It mainly observes whether there is a clear boundary between the placenta and the uterine muscle layer through B-ultrasound, and whether there is placental tissue in some uterine muscle layers with abundant blood flow.

Secondly, if the placenta is located on the posterior wall of the uterus or the severity of placenta implantation is difficult to observe by ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging is necessary. Magnetic resonance imaging has unique advantages in observing the degree of tissue infiltration. So, if the B-ultrasound diagnosis is not clear, magnetic resonance imaging is needed to confirm whether there is placental implantation.

There is no good way to deal with placental implantation. Surgery can only be used to remove the placenta during delivery. Pregnant women with placenta implantation should pay extra attention during delivery and preferably go to some high-level hospitals for delivery. This way, their physical health will be greatly guaranteed. After a successful delivery, a pregnant woman's physical health will also decline significantly. There may be inflammation and infection, so mothers need to take more care of their bodies, actively cooperate with treatment, and be careful not to leave any sequelae. The body is the most important capital.
