How are follicles expelled

After reaching adulthood, a woman will release mature eggs, which is necessary to ensure normal reproductive function. Many women are interested in the production of follicles and the release of eggs. Let's take a look at how follicles are released?

How are follicles expelled1

Follicles are produced from the ovaries of women, and during each menstrual cycle, one follicle gradually develops and matures. During the maturation process, it gradually protrudes on the surface of the ovary, and eventually, the surface epithelium of the ovary becomes very weak. At this time, a large amount of follicular fluid increases, and follicles will be expelled from it.

After the follicle is discharged, it will enter the female abdominal cavity and then pass through the fallopian tubes to reach the junction of the ampulla and isthmus. If sexual intercourse occurs at this time, the sperm will meet the egg through the fallopian tube and combine to form a fertilized egg. The fertilized egg continues to migrate towards the female uterine cavity and eventually implants to form an embryo.

If the egg during ovulation does not meet the sperm, it will be released during menstruation. In the next month, the ovaries will grow again and release a mature egg. The ovulation cycle of women is mostly around 14 days before menstruation, and the easiest time for fertilization is usually within 18 hours after the egg is released.
