Does weak sperm lead to ectopic pregnancy

Asthenozoospermia is caused by insufficient sperm motility in males. Ectopic pregnancy refers to the implantation of a fertilized egg outside the uterus, also known as ectopic pregnancy. It is mainly caused by inflammation around the fallopian tubes, which prevents the egg from functioning properly and results in implantation in the fallopian tubes. So, is there a connection between asthenozoospermia and ectopic pregnancy? Can weak sperm lead to ectopic pregnancy?

Does weak sperm lead to ectopic pregnancy1

Firstly, in general, asthenozoospermia does not lead to ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is mainly caused by inflammation of the fallopian tubes and has no practical connection with asthenozoospermia. However, male asthenozoospermia cannot reproduce normally, manifested as the inability of sperm to move forward, making it difficult for them to fertilize the egg, resulting in low fertility.

Secondly, there are many reasons that can lead to asthenozoospermia, such as immature or damaged testicular epithelium thinning, low quality of sperm production, weak motility, and low semen volume. The poor quality of male sperm is related to environmental pollution, radiation from electronic products, and unsafe food. Pay attention to prevention in daily life and form regular sleep and eating habits.

Another point is that ectopic pregnancy usually ruptures around 40 days of pregnancy, which can also cause pain on the right side of the lower abdomen. The duration of pregnancy starts from the first day after the last menstrual period ends. After rupture, there may also be bleeding in the vagina, which may appear as droplets and dark brown color. In severe cases, fainting or shock may occur.
