It is not allowed to have sexual intercourse before and after the TCT examination. Because having sexual intercourse before the TCT examination may introduce pathogens into the vagina, the TCT examination process can cause slight damage to the cervical mucosa, and pathogens can infect the cervix through the damaged opening, causing an inflammatory response in the cervix.

After the TCT examination, sexual intercourse is not allowed because having sexual intercourse after injury can also lead to inflammatory reactions. Therefore, do not have sexual intercourse for 3 days before and 1 week after the TCT examination. If vaginal bleeding persists for more than a week after the examination and sexual intercourse is not possible even after one week, it is recommended to keep the external genitalia clean and replace sanitary pads in a timely manner to reduce the possibility of infection.

Meanwhile, female friends should be aware that TCT examinations are best scheduled during non menstrual periods. Do not rinse the vagina or use vaginal suppositories within 24-48 hours before TCT examination, and do not perform vaginal diagnosis. Women with inflammation should receive treatment first and then undergo TCT examination to avoid affecting the diagnostic results.
