Can second-generation IVF choose between men and women

With the gradual development of medical technology, in vitro fertilization has become the best choice for infertile families. Currently, in vitro fertilization is still constantly improving, from the first generation to the second generation, and then to the third generation of in vitro fertilization technology. Some families may choose the second generation for technology and cost, but the most concerning thing is whether the second generation of in vitro fertilization can select men and women?

At present, most hospitals perform first and second generation IVF, and both first and second generations cannot select males and females. Only third generation IVF can select males and females. However, it is important to provide relevant proof of family inheritance and whether it is only passed down to males or females before selection can be made.

The second-generation test tube technology involves injecting a single sperm extracted from a man under a microscope into a mature egg extracted from a woman, achieving the goal of assisted reproduction. Second generation test tube babies play an important role in helping men with infertility, and can be applied to men with severe oligospermia or asthenozoospermia, sperm abnormalities, or symptoms such as spermatogenic dysfunction, azoospermia, and abnormal sperm.

After successful conception, the fertilized egg develops into an embryo, which is then transferred into the female uterine cavity. Medication is used to support the corpus luteum function in the body, promoting further embryo development. During the remaining stages of pregnancy, regular ultrasound and blood tests should be performed to monitor embryo growth and development for health.
