Pregnancy does not cause fever. In the early stages of pregnancy, changes in hormones in the body can cause a slight increase in the body temperature of pregnant women. Generally speaking, the normal body temperature for people is 36-37 degrees, while in the early stages of pregnancy, the body temperature for women is mostly between 36.9-37.2 degrees. Although the temperature of pregnant women is a bit high, it is not a fever.

The mild increase in body temperature during early pregnancy is a normal physiological phenomenon, which is caused by the elevation of progesterone levels in the female body, usually increasing by about 0.5 ℃. As long as the temperature of the pregnant woman is not too high, within the normal range, and there are no other discomfort symptoms, there is no need to worry.

If a pregnant woman has a fever after pregnancy, she should immediately go to the hospital for examination to determine the cause of the fever and see if she has bacterial or viral infections. Then actively seek treatment to avoid damaging one's own health and causing harm to the fetus. When pregnant women have a fever, do not take medication on your own because medication should not be taken casually during pregnancy, otherwise it may harm the fetus.
