Having laid eggs may lead to menstruation, but this is not absolute. Regardless of whether eggs have been laid or not, menstruation can still occur. The ovulation function of women is affected by the onset of menstruation and the secretion of estrogen in the body. Women with normal menstrual cycles first have follicular development, followed by endometrial hyperplasia, which is the foundation for preparing for pregnancy. After ovulation, if there is no sperm egg fusion and successful implantation, the proliferative endometrium will shed and bleed, forming menstruation.

Ovulation is the process of releasing mature eggs from follicles. Although there are thousands of follicles in the ovary, only a few hundred will mature, while the rest will regress. When a mature follicle ruptures, the egg is released from the ovary and enters the abdominal cavity, which is known as ovulation.

Women can detect ovulation through various methods. For example, using ovulation test strips to detect, when the test strip shows positive, it indicates that the woman has entered the ovulation period. To increase the accuracy of the results, the test strip within a week can be kept for comparison. Furthermore, one can observe their own secretion situation, as women during ovulation may experience an increase in vaginal discharge.
