If a woman becomes pregnant as an ectopic pregnancy, using early pregnancy test strips cannot detect whether it is an ectopic pregnancy or an intrauterine pregnancy. Although ectopic pregnancy can also result in amenorrhea and an increase in HCG levels in the body, and when the human chorionic gonadotropin in urine is higher than the level of non pregnancy, it will also show a positive reaction through test strips. However, this diagnosis can only be used to determine whether pregnancy is present, and cannot determine whether it is an intrauterine or ectopic pregnancy.

If a woman shows a positive reaction through early pregnancy test strips, it can be preliminarily determined that she is pregnant, and she needs to go to the hospital for further examination. Ultrasound examination and combined extraction of venous blood can be used to detect the content of human chorionic gonadotropin in serum, in order to determine whether it belongs to intrauterine pregnancy.

If there is no development of gestational sac and yolk sac in the uterine cavity during B-ultrasound examination, and the secretion value of serum chorionic gonadotropin increases slowly compared to intrauterine pregnancy, and there is no good doubling on the next day's examination, and suspected pregnancy tissue masses are found in other parts, it can be determined as ectopic pregnancy.
